On the feast of Nicholas, to the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. VV. Tarnovsky was visited by small guests - students of secondary school No 33 м. Chernihiv.
Zinaida Petkova, head of the 1st science and exhibition department, and research associate Iryna Stasyuk told the children about Ukrainian winter holidays and, particular, about the traditions of honoring St. Nicholas. The students learned about the history and meaning of such elements of the Christmas and New Year holidays as Santa and the Christmas tree.
Little visitors were not only good listeners, but also active participants of the event - they recited poems about St. Nicholas. A master class on making Christmas tree decorations was also held for them.
