Results 2025 year

Summing up the year, that passed, we want to thank everyone, who supported the Chernihiv Regional Historical Museum named after. VV. in Tarnowska 2025 year and will continue to do so in 2026 year. Special thanks to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Chernihiv Regional State Administration, Chernihiv Regional Council, Department of Culture, tourism, nationalities and religions of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, NGO "WAU Ukraine", NGO "Center for Aid to the Arts of Ukraine - Kyiv", NGO "Cultural Sustainability Agency", NGO "Fund for the Preservation of Ukrainian Antiquities", Chernihiv military hospital, to the company "Chernihivske zemlatstvo", to the public union "National Council of Women of Ukraine", OK "North", Chernihiv Regional Center of Folk Art and everyone, who helps the museum.

As part of the cooperation and support of the museum business, the museum received from the public organization "WAU Ukraine" 2 million. USD (money, technical means and material resources).

We would like to mention the most significant events, presentations, events and exhibitions, that took place during 2025 year:

1. For the first time in history, Ukrainian cultural heritage (hetman Ivan Mazepa's saber from the museum collection) was presented in one of the main museums of the world - the Royal Armory (The Royal Armouries) in London. The saber of the famous Ukrainian hetman was inspected by more than three weeks 70 thousands of tourists;
2. The museum participated in the large-scale exhibition "Ukraine WOW: Heirs" in Kyiv;
3. The exhibition "In the Name of Love or the Immortal Ukrainian Gene" was opened in the museum's walls about two extraordinary personalities - the master of musical instruments Oleksandr Shlionchyk and the famous Ukrainian singer Nata Zhizhchenko (ONUKA);
4. Together with the relatives of the dead, sports organizations and institutions created the exhibition "Character - Athlete" (Russian-Ukrainian war and Chernihiv sport);
5. Military units and units of Chernihiv Oblast helped in the creation of the "Flag - Relic" exhibition, which was timed to the National Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine;
6. Together with the Department of Culture of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, the exhibition "In memory of cultural workers..." was prepared, dedicated to the memory of our colleagues, who died as a result of Russian aggression;
7. На запрошення Національного заповідника «Києво-Печерська лавра» музей долучився до виставки «Мазепа. Стратегія європейської України» (May); взяв участь у створенні виставки «Донації. Виставка про українських меценатів» у Національному заповіднику «Софія Київська» (грудень);
8. The head of the scientific and educational department, Nataliya Samokhina, received the Mykhailo Kotsyubynsky regional award in the field of ethnology for the essay and the project "Museum Lecture "Roads of the Native Territory". Travels to historical places of Chernihiv Oblast and Ukraine";
9. The title of "Honorary Citizen of the Region" was awarded to the honored worker of culture Vera Zaichenko - historian, ethnologist and former employee of the museum;
10. In October, the museum joined the Ukrainian Cultural Security Forum, which took place in Germany;
11. The exhibition "Sedniv code of indomitability" was presented in the museum branch of the "Lyzogub Family Manor" (contribution of Sedniv residents to the achievement of Independence of Ukraine);
12. The popular exhibition "Honour and Victory" was opened, which told about European military traditions in the context of Ukrainian history from the 9th to the middle of the 19th century.;
13. Завдяки спеціалізованому обладнанню, which was provided by the NGO "Agency of Cultural Sustainability", several hundred old prints were digitized, documents and books from the museum collection;
14. The exhibition "Witnesses of the Past. Memorial furniture of the 16th century, XVIII, ХІХ ст. from the collection of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. V. V. Tarnovsky" (the legacy of the Galagans, Tarnovsky, Кочубеїв);
15. Together with Chernihiv Regional Center of Folk Art, the event "Need, perhaps, God's gift to create beautiful things from clay..." (to the 100th anniversary of Ivan Bibyk, a well-known potter, заслуженого майстра народної творчості);
16. The catalog of candidate of historical sciences Ihor Syty "Seals of the end of the 18th - beginning of the 20th century" and the next issue of the museum publication "The Treasury of Ukrainian Culture" were published and saw the light of day (випуск 23). Спільно з чернігівським істориком була С.Горобцем підготовлена та надрукована «Присяга Стародубського полку 1718 year " (упорядник від музею – кандидат історичних наук І.Ситий). Разом з професором О.Коваленком підготовлено та надруковано нарис «Хранителі», що присвячений першим директорам музею (упорядник від музею – С.Половнікова).
