Library of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. VV. Tarnovsky received gifts from the Vasyl Horlenka Almanac Almanac Library named after Vasyl Horlenka (head of the fund – Іван Михайлович Забіяка).
The collection of books is mainly dedicated to Gorlenki – to the well-known Cossack family and one of its representatives, Vasyl Horlenko, by Ivan Zabiaka.
Vasyl Petrovich Gorlenko (1853-1907) - Ukrainian journalist, literary critic, art, фольклорист, етнограф, connoisseur and collector of Ukrainian antiquities. Born in the village. Yaroshivka, Prylutsky District, Poltava Governorate (now with. Ukrainian of Prylutsky district, Chernihiv region), graduated from the Nizhyn Lyceum. Author of articles in the Ukrainian magazine "Kievskaya starina". Studied and prepared a description of the collection of the famous collector of Ukrainian antiquities, Vasyl Tarnovskyi, which was to be printed in the magazine. The museum sincerely thanks the author and the head of the foundation Mr. Ivan for the donated books. They will not only replenish the museum's book treasury, but will also come in handy in research, exhibition and excursion activities.
