The remains of the archbishop Filaret Gumilevskiy's archive were found

When processing the archive collection of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. V. V. Tarnovsky, we came across a selection entitled "Archive materials of the Katashyn Monastery for 1741–1765.". It contains 11 documents on 27 sheets.

The documents are included in the form of information to the General Staff regarding the existing composition of gendarmerie ranks for 191… Dr.. with such inscriptions: "Rukop No. 90", “Documents of the Katashinsky Monastery”, “27 sheets”, “Were among the papers of arch. Filaret Gumilevsky and m. D-go”.

The inscriptions testify, that the mentioned materials got to the Chernihiv eparchial wood storage in the 1910s., which means that the archbishop's archive was still intact and undispersed at that time, was kept together with the archive of the Pyatnytskyi Virgin Monastery. The Museum was also visited by the Czech Republic 34 letters of Filaret Gumilevskyi, which are now stored among the documents of the Tarnovsky family archive. The marks mentioned above allow us to assume, that among the papers of the Pyatnytsky Monastery you can still find artifacts from the archive of Filaret Gumilevskiy.
