Chernihivgaz. Heroes without weapons

13 April 2023 Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. VV. Tarnovsky together with the Chernihiv Regional Youth Theater honored the employees of Chernihivgaz JSC, who did not leave their jobs after the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, and during the siege of Chernihiv they saved the city from a humanitarian disaster. In the absence of water, electro- and heat supply, gas in Chernihiv turned out to be the only available energy resource, with which it was possible to warm up, cook hot food, heat water, bake bread.

Exhibition "Heroes without weapons", that was prepared in the museum for the anniversary of the liberation of Chernihiv from the Russian occupiers, dedicated to the citizens of Chernihiv - critical infrastructure workers, who selflessly worked during the hostilities around Chernihiv, under fire, without stopping his work even during air raids. Оглянути виставку у музеї та поспілкуватися з чернігівцями завітали: Alla Yarova, Chairman of the Board of Chernihivgaz JSC, technical director Serhii Savchenko, chief engineer Volodymyr Mishchenko, Ihor Romanenko, head of the Chernihiv branch, head of emergency dispatch service Oleksandr Rogynskyi with members of his brigade, which includes: master Serhiy Kravchenko, locksmith Serhii Isaenko, driver Oleg Prokopenko, senior master Serhii Laptienko, senior master Oleksandr Kovchun, electric welder Oleksandr Yashchenko.

Five of those present at the event were awarded state awards for their personal courage and professionalism during the repair of a gas utility damaged by enemy shells, namely Ihor Romanenko, Serhiy Savchenko, Serhii Laptienko, Oleksandr Kovchun - medal of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine", Oleksandr Yashchenko - medal "For labor and achievement".

Chernihiv Youth Theater presented an excerpt from the play "Rubicon" based on a dramatic poem by Yuriy Sokolov, a resident of Chernihiv. Production director Oleksiy Bysh, Composer Honored figure of pop art Taras Tarasenko. The roles were performed by Honored Artists of Ukraine Lyubov Veselova and Oleksiy Bysh.
