14 November 2022 year in the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. V. V. Tarnovsky presented the book "Letters of Peter Redkin to Vasyl Tarnovsky the elder: 1833–1866». Epistolary complex, consisting of forty-nine leaves, stored in the museum funds, is a valuable historical source for the study of key events in the history of the middle of the 19th century. Листування випускників Ніжинської гімназії вищих наук Петра Рєдкіна, later a well-known lawyer-scientist, pedagogue and Vasyl Tarnovsky, a public figure, benefactor, тривало впродовж тридцяти трьох років. The publication was prepared for printing by Svetlana Polovnikova, scientific staff of the museum, Natalia Samokhina and the teachers of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, associate professors Maryna Budzar, Evgeny Kovalev and student Tetyana Tereshchenko.
Having carried out fundamental work on the study of correspondence, the museum workers, together with their Kyiv colleagues, published a kind of historical guide on the history of those times. The correspondence was previously known in fragments. A significant role in the preparation of this edition was played by associate professors of Grinchenko University Yevhen Kovalev and Maryna Budzar.
