To the 160th anniversary of Mykhailo Kotsiubinsky

10 November 2024 year in the Chernihiv regional historical museum named after V.V. Tarnovsky was honored in memory of the famous Ukrainian writer Mykhailo Kotsyubynskyi.

The head of the museum, Zinaida Petkova, spoke about the role of the museum in preserving the writer's legacy. 1919 In 2008, the Kotsyubynskyi family transferred his literary archive to the museum, correspondence, the library, household items, furniture. In 1927 In 2016, a section was opened in the exposition of the Chernihiv State Museum, dedicated to Mykhailo Kotsyubinsky. The following year, an exhibition was created in the museum for the 15th anniversary of the writer's death, where his manuscripts were exhibited, lifetime editions of books, світлини, personal belongings.

1934 in Chernihiv, the Literary and Memorial Museum of M.M. Kotsyubinskogo, to which all documentary and physical monuments were transferred from the Chernihiv State Museum, that concerned the writer.

Currently in the funds of the Chernihiv Regional Historical Museum named after. VV. Tarnovsky's unique edition "Oak Leaves. Almanac in memory of P.O. Kulish" with a gift inscription of Mykhailo Mykhailovych Kotsiubynskyi to Andrii Pavlovich Shelukhin, the first director of the Museum of Ukrainian Antiquities V.V. Tarnovsky. The book was donated to the museum by Andriy Dmytrovych Shelukhin, grandson of A. Shelukhina in September 2021 year. Museum guests had the opportunity to see the writer's autograph at a small exhibition at the end of the event.

The museum audience listened with interest to the mini-lecture "Touches of Kotsyubinsky's aesthetics" by the candidate of philosophical sciences, assistant professor of the Chernihiv Collegium National University named after T.G. Maryna Karanda Shevchenko.
