Honoring the memory of Elizaveta Miloradovich

27 January 2022 year in the noble hall of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after VV. Tarnowski hosted a museum meeting on the occasion of the 190th anniversary of the birth of Elizabeth Ivanovna Skoropadskaya-Miloradovich (1832–1890), famous Ukrainian public figure, patrons, one of the cohort of founders of the Shevchenko Society in Lviv, aunt of the last Hetman of Ukraine Pavlo Petrovich Skoropadsky.

To this noble woman, on her special attitude to her nephew by her husband Grigory Alexandrovich Miloradovich (1839–1905) let's look through the prism of letters to him for 1860-1865. Her bright personality, the formation of a conscious Ukraine was reflected in the correspondence. Yelyzaveta Myloradovych tried to awaken national feelings in Grigory as well, reminding, that he is a descendant of Hetman Pavlo Polubotko.

Twenty years ago, an epistolary was published under the title "I'm attached to you, дарма, that the Cavalry Guard", but even now he will help open new facets of the relationship between these extraordinary figures.
