Yevhen Chikalenko's agricultural bestseller "Conversations about rural farming"

8 September 2022 year in the walls of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after V.V. Tarnovsky the legendary agricultural bestseller Yevgeny Chikalenko "Conversations about rural farming" was presented.

This is the first reprint of the works of a well-known philanthropist and public figure in a hundred years. All are collected under one cover 5 brochure: "Black Steam and Fruit Changes", "Cattle", "Sown herbs, corn and beets", "USA", "Grape". The publication was carried out at the initiative of Anzhela Savchenko with private funds. The book was published by Oleksandr Savchuk publishing house in July 2022 year in Kharkiv under shelling and sirens.

The second most popular after "Kobzar", the book is an important monument of agrarian culture, a source from the history and traditions of business, development of cooperation and activity of zemstvos. "Conversations" are written in vivid Ukrainian, have not lost their relevance and remain one of the best guides for those, who has his own farm, engages in farming or cultivates a small plot of land.

The author of "Conversations" is Yevhen Chikalenko, a successful farmer, a large landowner, publisher of the first Ukrainian-language daily newspaper "Rada", public figure and philanthropist. Народився 21 December 1861 year in Kherson province (current Odesa region). He died in exile in Prague 20 June 1929 year, buried in Podjebrady.
