22 February 2023 year in the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after V.V. Museum meeting "Bread of the Unbreakable City" was held in Tarnovsky with representatives of the team of Chernihiv Bread Factory No. 2.
The director of the enterprise, Olga Zaika Olga, along with her reliable team, visited the museum, people united by an extraordinary sense of responsibility, courage and patriotism. The workers never lost their fighting spirit and constantly worked and are working, so that every family has fresh bread.
Even, on busy days, when there was fighting on the outskirts of the city, and, later, and the city itself and its inhabitants were subjected to bombings and shelling, the company did not stop its work. Behind the word "enterprise" are people, which are often dense, risking his life , they got to their workplaces under fire, so that we would have bread. In peacetime, the enterprise worked 350 people. With the start of hostilities, it was close 70. They baked bread, which volunteers took to the front line, and transported around the city districts. Near the bread stand, that at the enterprise, there were always queues. Cars pulled up , they left through the passageway and brought long-awaited bread to someone, and the turn, навіть, did not disperse under fire, everyone was waiting for their fire. Thanks to that bread, we survived. And, можливо, in peacetime you did not eat so much bread, but during the hot phase it was scary to be left without it. One loaf of bread was sold in the same hands, люди, by purchasing one, stood in line again, because one of the neighbors could not go and buy the most delicious product. It lasted until 4 March, until an enemy mine landed on the territory of the bakery. But over time, the bakery started working again, contrary to that, that there was no light, there was no water, the gas pipeline was partially destroyed. Та, later, the gas workers switched the lines, the government hoped for a generator, the waterworks began to deliver water - so the process was revived again. The bakery team, under the leadership of Mrs. Olga Zayka, it worked again. And again the "bread trucks" went around the city, by the way, 19 cars, who were delivering bread and were "wounded" during shelling.
Each of those present told his story about working in hell from February to March last year: how they worked, how they survived, how they supported each other and the community of the city. Each memory moved everyone present to tears and feelings of pride and gratitude to people, who held the rear.
After the de-occupation of the region, the Chernihiv bread factory returned to work as usual, in addition, is in search of new interesting bread recipes.
