Sedniv in feature and documentary films

This topic collected 13 September in the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after Vasyl Tarnovsky, who loves Sedniv, its beauty and history. Scientists of the museum branch - "Estates of the Lyzogub family", working in the archives and libraries of Chernihiv and Kyiv, involving the memories of the townspeople - the participants of the filming and their family photo archives were installed, what kind of films and in what years were shot here by outstanding cinematographers. Sednev scenes from the movies of the past still attract the attention of Sednev guests today, and some even come specially, to see these glorious places with your own eyes. The movies known to us include movie scenes filmed in Sednev: "Gryhoriy Skovoroda" (1958 р.), "How many years, how many winters" (1965 р.), "Eyelash" (1967 р.), "Only the Old Men go to battle (1973 р.), "Shurochka" (1982 р.), "Battalions are asking for fire" (1984 р.), "When Trees Fall" (2016 р.).

In addition, three documentaries were found and copied in the funds of the Central State Audiovisual and Electronic Archive, in which there are stories about Sedniv (1939, 1966, 1981 years.). A resident of Sednev O. Pashchenko handed over the 18 mm film with the documentary "Sedniv Motives" to the Manor for restoration (1990 р.). It contains an interview with one of the founders of the House of Artists' Creativity, People's Artist of Ukraine Tetyana Yablonska, in which she shares her memories of Sedniv, про те, what role he played in her life. The film was digitized with the assistance of the outstanding film director and screenwriter D. Lomachuk.

To the attention of the meeting participants, the photo exhibition "Alley of Sednivskih photos" opened the day before on the chestnut alley of the "Estates of the Lyzogub family" was presented., dedicated to 20 things on the occasion of the literary and artistic festival "Sedniv autumn". It features Viktor Koshmal's favorite photos, Alexander Tenant, Andrii Kazun and photos of Sednev from the 1940s–1980s from the private collection of Chernihiv archaeologist and speleologist Volodymyr Rudenko.

Photo artist A. was present at the meeting. Kazun shared his impressions of the picturesque nature of Sednev, about the search for stories and the victory of Sedniv photographs at various competitions. Thanks to the museum for the popularization of Sednev was added to his piggy bank.
