Symposium in Romania – "Putna Colloquia"

23 February 2023 year in the Holy Assumption Men's Monastery in Putna (Румунія) the 28th historical symposium "Putna Colloquia" was held, organized by the Research and Documentation Center "Stephen the Great». The center was created in 2005 year by the Suchav and Redeut Archdiocese of the Romanian Orthodox Church with assistance professors of the Faculty of History Iasi University named after A.Y. Kuza and researchers from the Institute of History of Nicolae Iorga in Bucharest.
Historians from Bucharest took part in the event, Yass, Cluj-Napoca, Aradi, Sujavi, Kyiv, Chernihiv and historians from the Holy Assumption Monastery in Putna. The total number of speakers was 16 чоловік.
The reports were devoted to various aspects of the history of Romania: diplomatic relations, analysis and interpretation of archaeological finds, toponymic topics, art history and newly discovered manuscripts.

Chernihiv Historical Museum of VV. Tarnovsky also joined the symposium. So, старший науковий співробітник, candidate of theology Myroslav Mai-Boroda gave a speech at the conference, in which he told about the history of two museum artifacts - a handwritten liturgical Gospel 1581 year from Suceava and poetic Psalter of the Romanian writer and diplomat Teodor Korbe.
The presented books aroused the keen interest of the Romanian scientific community. The two above-mentioned manuscripts are evidence of strong socio-cultural ties between Ukraine and Romania, and their future is common study and popularization will contribute to the strengthening of good relations between the scientific institutions of the two countries.
