Scientific conference dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the museum

28- October 29 2021 Dr.. in Chernihiv Historical Museum named after VV. Tarnovsky, under quarantine restrictions, the scientific conference "Historical and cultural landscape of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. VV. Tarnovsky " (to the 125th anniversary of the museum). Scientists from the Borys Hrinchenko University of Kyiv took part in its work, Educational and Scientific Institute of History and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines named after O.M. Lazarevsky National University "Chernihiv collegium" named after. TG. Shevchenko, Dnipropetrovsk National Historical Museum named after. DI. Яворницького, Chernihiv Regional Art Museum named G. Galagan, Museum. VV. Tarnovsky and local historians.

Було виголошено 20 from 40 заявлених доповідей, which touched on a wide range of issues from the beginning of the museum business in Chernihiv region, development of museums of Ukraine in the twentieth century., study of individual collections, historical research on exhibits to individual pages of the history of Chernihiv-Sivershchyna, museum pedagogy and Ukrainian identity. They mainly related to the history of the development of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. В.В.Тарновського, the fate of his buildings, activities of branches, research of collections. Of particular interest were the reports on the sundial (ХVІІ ст.) St. Elijah's Church in Chernihiv, metal belt of the XVII century. from Baturin, dating of the construction of St. George's Church in Sednev, the life of representatives of the Lyzogub family in the town of Snov in 1918–1922.

The texts of the submitted reports will be published in the next issue of the museum collection "Treasury of Ukrainian Culture", who will see the world in 2022 year.
