Tarnowski », the philanthropist provided financial assistance in the amount of 1000 rubles to the historian for the press of his first big monograph "Zaporozhye in the remnants of antiquity and legends of the people". From the trip Vasyl Tarnovsky brought replenishment of his collection. Among the Zaporozhian antiquities were household items, collected in the Great Meadow, which are still preserved in the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after V.V. Tarnovsky:
