12 March 2024 in Chernihiv Historical Museum named after VV. Tarnovsky held a museum meeting "Heroes without weapons. Chernihiv energy companies. "Chernihivoblenergo". They took part in the event: Serhii Felyk, Chairman of the Board of Chernihivoblenergo Joint Stock Company, director of personnel Valery Zhurbin, Maksym Khrapaty, master of the power transmission line service, electrician for repair and maintenance of power transmission lines Anatoliy Lavrenko, водій автотранспортних засобів служби транспорту і логістики Віктор Бояринцев та прес-секретар товариства Катерина Дроздова.
Museum visitors had the opportunity to hear the story first hand, як чернігівським енергетикам доводилося працювати у лютому – квітні 2022 year, restoring damaged and destroyed power lines, due to the invasion of the Russian army. Since the first day of active hostilities on the territory of Chernihiv Oblast, the objects of the Chernihivoblenergo company have suffered significant damage. Residents of Chernihiv district and the regional center were left without electricity. Energy workers worked in intensified mode to restore electricity supply in those places, where possible. They worked under shelling, to provide electricity to consumers for at least an hour.
Though, that in the period of 24 February to early April 2022 year were damaged 904 objects of distribution and 49 objects of high-voltage networks, until the end of August 2022 year 100 percent of the Company's consumers had the opportunity to use electricity. For high professionalism, personal courage and self-sacrifice over 50 employees of the Company were awarded state awards. Participants of the museum meeting are among the awardees: Maksym Khrapaty - with the Order "For Courage" 3 degree and award of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine", Anatoly Lavrenko - with the Order of Merit 3 degree, Віктор Бояринцев – Почесною грамотою Кабінету Міністрів України.
There was also an interesting story about the history of electrification in Chernihiv Oblast.
The employees of the museum are sincerely grateful to the representatives of Chernihivoblenergo JSC for their painstaking work, provided materials for the exhibition "Heroes without weapons" and an interesting meeting.
