Embroidered miracle Chernihiv

Exhibition "embroidered Chernihiv miracle in the works of masters and Larissa Natalie Verhochub Panko", the second from "Modern masters Chernihiv - keepers of traditions", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of masters of art embroidery Natalia G. Verhochub (02.07.1949 – 24.02.1987) and Larisa Borisovna Panko (народилась 13.07.1949). Before women were creative in different ways.

Natalia G. Verhochub born in Chernigov. At the age of seven infected with scarlet fever, which gave a complication to heart. Since then she has suffered a lot, treated in hospitals, sanatoriums. At the hospital, she met and became friends with another patient. Next girlfriend for five and a half years, Anna Grigorenko - ward Kyiv School of Applied Arts, professionally engaged in embroidery, she urged Natalia G. this ancient craft, was her teacher, and eventually became the colleague in artistic and production workshops Art Fund of Ukraine.

Larisa B. Panko was born in a military family in Potsdam (Німеччина). Since the mid 1960s, living in Chernihiv. First she embroidery skills, obviously, received as a child from the mother and the school lessons. However, systematic studies to this craft Larisa Kuzmina attracted people - Honored Master of Folk Art carver Nicholas L. Panko.

Natalia G. Verhochub and Larissa B. Panko - master, who have mastered the traditional techniques of embroidery Chernigov, actively contributed to the preservation and revival of traditions. Their works were exhibited in many exhibitions of different levels - city, regional, republican, All-Union, international. There are in museum collections, as well as private collections.

The exhibition represents more than twenty works - decorative panels, рушники, сукні, блузи, napkins, from the collection of Chernigov Historical Museum named after VV. Tarnovsky, which N.H. Verhochub and LB. Panko created at the end of the XX - XXI century.
