Exhibition "Communism=Racism"

10 August 2022 року у Чернігівському історичному музеї ім. The photo-documentary exhibition "Communism=Racism" was presented by V. V. Tarnovsky, which was created by the Branch State Archive of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance.

Presented at the exhibition 13 stories about Ukrainians of the 20th and 21st centuries, who suffered from the Soviet and Russian authorities. The stories are not chosen by chance - they draw a parallel between the crimes of communism and racism. And also prove, what methods, the motives of the Russians regarding the destruction of Ukrainians are no different: these are shootings, eviction, robberies, deportation, filtration camps. At eight stands you can see archival documents about repressed Ukrainians in the 20th century, as well as testimony about modern crimes of the Russian army.

Ihor Kulyk, Director of the Industry State Archive, introduced the exhibition to those present. They came to the opening: First Deputy Chairman of the Chernihiv Regional Council Nina Lemesh, director of the Department of Culture and Tourism, Nationalities and Religions of the Regional State Administration Lyudmila Zamai, director of the State Archive of the Chernihiv Region, Raisa Vorobey, historians, музейники, архівісти, ЗМІ. The event was moderated by the director of the museum, Serhiy Laevsky.

The exhibition was presented with the support of the NGO “Fund for the Preservation of Ukrainian Antiquities”.

The exhibition will be valid until 9 September 2022 year. Admission is free.
