Saber of the 17th-18th centuries. after restoration

A few days ago, specialists of the National Research Restoration Center of Ukraine, after completing the scientific restoration, returned to the Chernihiv Regional Historical Museum named after V.V.. Tarnovsky saber of the 17th-18th centuries. (inv. No. I-2905). The head of the department of the National Scientific and Research Restoration Center supervised the restoration works, artist-restorer of metal of the highest category Viktor Golub.

This is an example of a melee weapon (saber of the Persian type - shamshir), which comes from the collection of the famous philanthropist and collector of Ukrainian antiquities, Vasyl Tarnovskyi.
