Pavlo Skoropadskyi in the family circle

16 May 2023 year marks 150 years from the birthday of Hetman Pavlo Petrovych Skoropadskyi, head of the Ukrainian State 1918 year. On this occasion, in the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after V.V. Museum meeting "Pavlo Skoropadsky in the family circle" was held in Tarnovsky. The choice of the topic was facilitated by that fact, that the museum stores unique items - embroidered shirts of the hetman's daughters and an album with photographs from the beginning of the 20th century., made in the Skoropadsky estates – Trostyantsi and Polozhakh, arranged by the hetman's wife Oleksandra Petrivna Skoropadska, born in Durnovo. All these items were presented at the exhibition on the occasion of the anniversary of Hetman P. Skoropadskiy.

Thanks to “I will remember” the hetman himself, which were published and survived several reprints in independent Ukraine, and to the memories of his youngest daughter Olena Pavlivna Ott-Skoropadska "The last of the Skoropadski family", research of Ukrainian historians and archivists, interesting facts from the family life of the Skoropadskys were reproduced, both in Ukraine and abroad. The destinies of the hetman were traced, his children, wives, each of whom made a significant contribution to the work in the struggle for an independent Ukrainian state, working in the "Union of Hetman-Statesmen" created by Pavel Skoropadsky in emigration.
