11 October 2022 the Chernihiv Historical Museum of VV. invites Tarnovsky to the Museum meeting “People of the old Hetman region: the Kochenovsky family”.
The Museum is starting a cycle of Museum Meetings under the general name “People of the old Hetman region”, devoted to the history of families, representatives of which service, distinguished themselves in Chernihiv Oblast by their professional activity or creativity and left monuments as a legacy, which are in the collection of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. В.В.Тарновського.
The first meeting is devoted to the history of the ancient noble-Cossack family of the Kochenovskys - the founders of the Tarnovsky family estate in Kachanivka. On the eve of the Cossack holiday of Intercession, let's talk about the Cossacks, hetmans and the society of the old Hetman region. And also about sights, which have been deposited in the museum funds and are related to this family: silver altar from the Rykhliv monastery, felon, which belonged to priest Kochenovsky and the Gospel from the Mykolaiv Parish Church.
